How much does a Cast Iron Kitchen sink weigh?

If we install it on a granite countertop, is there a possibility that it won't hold the weight?
Its an Americast 33 x 22 cast iron sink.  Self-rimming and undermount.  by the way, does anyone know what self rimming is too?

What are living conditions like onboard commercial sailing vessels?
